Description
The plant is nicknamed "Inch Plant" because it can grow an inch or more in just a week, often appearing to "inch" along, or because the leaves are often spaced exactly an inch apart on the stem. The plant produces small, delicate, three-petaled purple or white flowers that usually open in the morning and close by the evening, which is why it is also known as "dayflower".
